Firstly, if you haven't yet, go read this journal Activities/Contest/FeaturesHi guys,
We are hard at work to make this group beter and stronger every day. You guys might not know it, but believe me we have alot of brainstorming going on. So I come to you bearing good news.
:bulletblack: Monthly Challenge
So how this is going to work is we are going to post a poll on certain things you can do with manips. Like lighting or blending or coloring, etc. You guys vote and the we then put a blog together of the winner. The blog will include things like links to tutorials, mini interviews with expert artists, etc. We will also provide you with some stock pictures we think fits the challenge. You MUST use atleast one of these stock pictures and make a manipulation based on what you learned from the blog. THe winner will only get features, this is not a contest. It is just a platform you can use to hone your skills as a manipulator.
:bulletblack: Collaboration Contest
The rules for this contest must will be;
Two or more artist MUST colloborate on an entry.

What was the concept of this/What inspired this image?
I was thinking Fairy Tales, but a lot of my artworks are also very inspired by the stock provider's photos. I see one or two things stock photos and then a multitude of photo manipulations kind of "spring to mind". I wanted something that looked like fantasy, but didn't necessarily have to be "just that".

The lighting in this is amazing! Could you give us a tip or two on how you did it.
Thank you very much! I've always had a very hard time with lighting (still do after all these years!) but I have been putting more time and effort into that part as well as trying out new things. A tip I can give to all photo manipulation artists out there would be that while you're doing your artwork, take breaks from time to time (for me, I'll watch a bit of anime, play some Castleville, etc.) and then come back to your artwork and you may notice somethings that need to be corrected more than if you had just kept working on it (sometimes, starring at the same thing too long, we tend not to notice little mistakes).

YHow did you decide on the colors for this?
I usually do very "blue" artworks, that or some black and whites, some "full colors" but I had noticed that, in my gallery, I didn't really have any "warm" colors with 'orangy' glows. The lights from the tree stock were orange and I found those to be very beautiful in the colors they were so I ended up keeping with those.

Thank you very much to :iconstormowlart: for the awesome interview!!!

Great choice for a feature. I'm loving the interview for all the behind the scenes info on the picture. I would love to see multiple interviews/features per post! :heart:
